From what I can tell, this photo was original work by a person with the online handle “Catholic Guilt.” He ran a number of websites including captivity.com, all of which appear to now be defunct. That said, if you go to an internet archive which has captures of catholicguilt.com or captivity.com, then it’s easy enough to navigate to their “Wooden Pony”preview and verify that it’s the same equipment and studio space. It includes a blurb about the device and its use.
