Gor is a world created by American author John Norman and featured in 38 books. Gor is the name of the fictional planet. The worldview and way of life described in the books have led to imitation among readers and the emergence of Gorean subcultures where various situations are reenacted as role-playing or lifestyle. For example, slave girls (aka Kajirae) are generally expected to adopt submissive postures toward men, with various variations of kneeling being practiced. The phrase “la kajira” is said to mean “I am a slave-girl.” in the Gorean language (Wikipedia).

They generally restrict their pirating and slaving to the waters far from Schendi, not wishing to prey upon their own people. The League generally does not sell their captures in Schendi.
